Yellow Melodies II

Mira Song is an interdisciplinary artist based in Vancouver, BC, born in Seoul, South Korea. Song holds a Master of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University of Art + Design and a Certificate in Garden Design from UBC.

In her practice, Song explores natural and constructed public spaces, reframing them through the embodiment of different senses that trigger memories and imagination. She investigates this aesthetic territory by gathering objects and images of architectural and natural spaces, which she then re-appropriates into multimedia works, including painting and drawing.

She has exhibited throughout Canada and internationally, including in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Hong Kong, and Seoul, at different commercial, artist-run, and public galleries. Her work can be found in private collections in Canada, as well as corporate art collections such as Aritzia Inc., Telus, Deloitte, and Microsoft Art Collection.
